As associate research director, Andrea Sangalli is responsible for IDC Retail Insights research on Worldwide Retail Customer Experience Strategies, providing advisory support to technology vendor and retail end-user clients. Andrea has more than 15 years’ experience of leading successful digital transformations, marketing and CRM initiatives with international companies across different industries including retail, consumer products, financial services, insurance, telecommunications and media. Prior to IDC, Andrea worked at SAS as a Principal Business Solutions Manager, where he supported executives across marketing, sales and IT service organizations to explore how marketing processes can be revolutionized through the use of Customer Intelligence solutions. In particular, he focused on the value that Digital Transformation delivers to organizations, with a specific insight on Customer Experience. Prior to SAS, Andrea worked for RCS Media Group and Experian Marketing Services. His background includes expertise in new value proposition development, innovation nurturing, Big Data Analytics, IoT, Data Monetization, Digital Marketing and Advertising. Andrea contributed to several blogs and articles on marketing analytics, customer experience and big data, aiming to provide a new vision about the digital world to his audience. In December 2015, Andrea earned a MIP Executive Certificate in Management of Innovation and Design, presenting final thesis centered on Internet of Things as source of data and insight that can help insurance carriers and banks with new value-added services and revolutionary business models development.
