Giulio Raffaele currently holds the position of senior research analyst for IDC Retail Insights. In this position, Raffaele is responsible for leading retail and e-Commerce research on European markets and contributes to World Wide Omni-channel consumer strategies research. His activity is focused on research regarding e-Commerce, digital marketing and user experience in the omni-channel and digital transformation context, along with providing support for international research and consulting projects for both vendors and retailers.
Giulio comes from a varied experience across operations, sales, marketing and IT with a focus on e-Commerce companies of tourism industry, that allowed him to explore many different aspects of online businesses.
Giulio most recently served in a French e-Commerce group where he has had the opportunity to focus on a sales role, working with luxury Hospitality companies on a global scale. Previously, he has been the first employee of an e-Commerce startup dealing with offers of luxury Hospitality companies, with the aim to help them in selling their unsold room inventory. He has worked to the whole process of strategy definition, operations and technology set up, digital marketing, business development (for Italian and international European markets) and web product management changing product.
Giulio holds a Master Degree in Marketing & Communication from Bocconi University, Milan and a Master Degree in Web Marketing & Social Media from Ninja Academy, Milan.
